Becky and Hunter, best friends, find themselves atop a 2,000-foot radio tower. Fall is pretty much cornered by director Scott Mann (also a co-writer with Jonathan Frank), so it’s hard to care whether the protagonists in peril atop a 2,000-foot radio tower live or die when they start climbing it.
A simple setup lasts about 30 minutes, establishing characters as annoying, obnoxious, or downright stupid (if there’s a subgenre of thrill-seeking idiotic white women willingly putting themselves in danger that we’re supposed to care about, you can drop Autumn right there).
Becky’s life is in disarray a year after her husband Dan was killed in a tragic mountaineering accident (Mason Gooding). Her father appears to be a directionless alcoholic who cares for her. He does, however, say horrible things about Becky’s late husband in order to prove her point that she should stop goofing off in the morning.
